Dear Environmental Protection Team,

I am writing as a resident of Blackpool to make a formal complaint regarding amplified music and public address announcements originating from South Pier.

The amplified noise is clearly audible from my home and is affecting the peaceful enjoyment of my property.

How the noise is affecting me:
The noise is clearly audible inside my home and/or garden and is interfering with the peaceful enjoyment of my property.

I respectfully request that Blackpool Council investigate this matter and assess whether the noise constitutes a statutory nuisance under the Environmental Protection Act 1990.

I would be grateful if you could:

1. Formally record this complaint.
2. Investigate the noise being emitted from South Pier.
3. Advise me of the outcome of your investigation and any action the Council proposes to take.

I appreciate that South Pier is an important part of Blackpool's tourism industry, and I am not objecting to entertainment taking place. My concern is that the level and reach of amplified music and public address announcements are having an unreasonable impact on nearby residential properties. I hope an appropriate balance can be achieved between entertainment and residents' right to enjoy their homes.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to your acknowledgement of this complaint.

Kind regards,
